Fireman Owen

Owen announced to us that he is a fireman today. Dressed in only underwear and snow pants with his pack (or in this case his backpack) on his back he made a dramatic entrance into the living room after dinner this evening. He gave us a good laugh for sure. The whole underwear only is what kills me. I fear he may rather be featured in a "fireman calendar" someday. OH MY!

Becoming a Girl??????

So anyone who has met Owen knows he has a great ability to "think outside the box". This last week at daycare he informed Sara, his daycare provider, that he wants to be a girl. Apparently he was mislead by another child into believing you can only play with girls if you in fact are a girl. Anyway, Sara questions how Owen will achieve this goal and he proceeds to tell her he will need a "magic wand". Sara then asks Owen where he might find such a tool. He thinks for a moment (it doesn't take Owen long to come up with an answer) and says the following, "Duh, Sara we get "magic wands" from where all the magic comes from....HEAVEN!" He then informs her she should get on the phone to make some calls to see if there are any flights to Heaven. Sometimes I think Owen knows more then we do.
