Welcome Fall!

The trees are turning brilliant hues of red, yellow and orange.  Apple orchards and pumpkin patches are open for business. The air is crisp.  The crock pot is dusted off and simmering soup.  Fall has arrived.  It has been a beautiful week here.  A much needed Mr. Sun has helped dry up last weeks disaster.

Ironically, both my grandmothers celebrated their birthdays on Tuesday. We loaded up the van and drove to Northfield to celebrate with Grandma T once Owen was done with school.  Unfortunately, Grandma F.  has had some major medical issues and she is currently being cared for at a hospital  so we were unable to spend some time with her.  We are requesting prayers for her recovery, her doctors and her future. It will be a long road ahead.  We know God is on our side though and believe he is the ultimate healer.

The weekend has been nice and relaxing thus far.  I made my first apple pie from scratch and judging by the fact there is only one slice left, I am going to say it turned out well.   We enjoy these simple days and wish we could have them more often.

Here are a few fun photos from our week:
